" In their classrooms, expert teachers are very serious about time management, they view time as commodity like water and if its not handled properly , will slip through ones finger without noticing it.". If we look carefully to these few words that are said by a professor in education, we notice that time is the first factor to look for when managing a class. An essential question should be asked for teachers about how they time events and regulate schedules so that students get the most productive learning time?. Effective teachers implement time in their lesson activity through:starting the lecture at time-Materials prepared in advance- establish routines. Researchers showed that effective teachers use most of their available times for instruction instead on managing , so in order to increase high success time we need to use time efficiently and structure learning experiences that code for success.
Some students are the major cause for losing time. They keep asking until the teacher runs out of time. It's not healthy to ignore their questions but still they are affecting others in the class room. Moreover some students misbehavior can drive a teacher crazy not only out of time!

Sometimes when teachers play the coach role in the class, students will get bored and start doing misbehavior that loose attention and management.What teachers must focused on is how to hold students attention all the session with active activities that prevent any bored and keep students focusing .
ReplyDeleteAn effective teacher could always find solution and try different strategies, she or he can tell the students that time there is no time for more discussion and promise them to answer all their questions after the class, or at the end of the period, and for discipline issues their can many consequences can be followed in order to manage the class.
ReplyDeleteTime is a basic element in classroom management. Teachers must be very concerned of time, a good teacher must take advantage of every moment. Teachers will often find themselves with several 10-15 minute chunks of time during the day that are unscheduled, they should benefit from this time by composing a list of activities.
ReplyDeleteTime is a critical element not only in managing instruction as you suggested above, but also in driving academic excellence. I would like to add that many students may need longer school days and school years, intensive academic interventions, and extra time for services such as tutoring. Students might need time for additional academic acceleration and enrichment and we, as teacher, should address all that!
